Community Visioning Project for the Former Olympia Brewery
Thurston Regional Planning Council is partnering with the City of Tumwater on a project that aims to explore the ways in which the Olympia Brewery site can once again provide jobs and strengthen the community.

Capitol Boulevard Corridor Study
This study seeks to support the transformation of Capitol Boulevard between Southgate and Israel Road.

Urban Corridors Task Force
Comprised of policy makers from TRPC and the Transportation Policy Board, the Urban Corridors Task Force is trying to answer the question: What will it take for this region’s urban corridors and activity centers to better support urban transit services, and how will we get there?

Buildable Lands Program for Thurston County
The report was developed by Thurston Regional Planning Council on behalf of Thurston County, the town of Bucoda, and the cities of Lacey, Olympia, Rainier, Tenino, Tumwater, and Yelm.

Urban Growth Management
Thurston Regional Planning Council works on regional interjurisdictional projects and programs that explore and take action on both required and optional elements of the State Growth Management Act (GMA).

Amending Urban Growth Area Boundaries
In Thurston County, the process for changing the urban growth boundaries is found in the county-wide planning policies.  These policies are an agreement between the cities, towns, and county on how they will work together on planning issues.

2008 Regional Benchmarks
The fourth edition of TRPC's Regional Benchmarks Report stems from an effort to monitor the region's progress toward meeting the goals of the state Growth Management Act (GMA). 

Rate of Urbanization and Forest Harvest, 1985-2000
A study of land cover change, using detection satellite remote sensing. The study provides an important tool to understanding the health of our natural systems, including streams, wetlands, and marine shorelines.

Land Cover Mapping
Thurston Regional Planning Council (TRPC) is generating a Digital Land Cover Data Layer for the entire land area of Thurston County based on 5 meter panchromatic satellite data merged with 25 meter multi-spectral (7 bands) satellite data.
 

Census
Discover data highlights for Thurston County from both the 2000 Decennial Census and American Community Survey questionnaires. Infromation from the 2010 Census will be released in 2011.
