It is modeled on the National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places Travel Itinerary. It is based on information in the files of the Olympia Heritage Commission, which is located at 2404 Heritage Court #B, in Olympia, Washington. The Olympia Heritage Register of the City of Olympia has over 170 listed properties and 443 inventoried properties. For information on these properties and other historic landmarks in Thurston County visit, http://www.trpc.org.

Property descriptions were written by Heather Lockman in consultation with the Olympia Heritage Commission. The guide was designed by Sarah Phillips, David Read, Shanna Stevenson and Ron Towle of the Thurston Regional Planning Council.
