Thurston County Bicycle Map
Notice of Errata: Please note that the scale bar shown in the legend on the full county side of the printed map is not correct. While the scale text (1 in = 1.2 miles) is correct, the scale reflected on the scale bar is not accurate. When estimating mileage on the full county side of the map, please use 1 inch = 1.2 miles to calculate distances. Using the scale bar will provide inaccurate results. An updated pdf version of the print map can be downloaded here.
Bike Safely
You may find gaps in the bicycle network on some major routes. In these sections there are neither bike lanes nor wide shoulders, and traffic volumes may be higher. Though experienced cyclists may feel at ease in these areas, less skilled cyclists may want to choose an alternate route.
Bicyclists may use all streets and roads within Thurston County except:
- the 14th Street Tunnel between Jefferson & Capitol Way in Olympia
- I-5 from Trosper Road (exit 102) to Martin Way (exit 109)
- Hwy 101 from I-5 to the Black Lake Interchange
