Climate Solutions is a Northwest non-profit organization, located in downtown Olympia, working to help pioneer solutions to global warming.  They are demonstrating a model of regional leadership that strengthens communities and provides economic opportunities.

Their transportation programs focus on moving people and goods with maximum effectiveness and energy efficiency.  For years they have coordinated the Thurston County Bicycle Commuter Contest, and were a major player in development of the Washington State Bicycle Commute Guide and Thurston County Bicycle Map.  These programs are models for the northwest and the whole country.  The Neighborhood Connections project they did with the City of Olympia is now a source of inspiration to other communities around the region and has led to their work on the City of Tumwater Trails Plan (funded by Surface Transportation Program funding approved by The Thurston Regional Planning Council). Finally, the Smart Moves in Washington Schools program (also funded by TRPC STP funding) aims to help schools identify practical ways for school travel to be safer and more efficient, and prepares the next generation for more intelligent transportation choices.

Not only is Climate Solutions a leader in the community but they have also exceeded their annual goal!  If any one worksite "walks the talk", it is Climate Solutions.  Thank you for the outstanding work!
