Regional Transportation Work Program Requirements
TRPC's regional transportation work program is governed by both federal and state requirements:
- Federal laws define responsibilities of Metropolitan Planning Organizations
- State laws define responsibilities of Regional Transportation Planning Organizations in Washington State
TRPC is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) as well as the Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO) for the Thurston region.
This report summarizes the federal and state regulations that shape TRPC's regional transportation work program.
