Climate Change – Thurston Region

At their 2009 retreat, TRPC members identified climate change as a regional priority retreat to more clearly define and integrate the issue into agency work. Policy makers recognized TRPC's active involvement in climate change planning efforts – including the 2007 State Climate Action Team evaluation and identification of promising strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

TRPC Climate Action Goal:

To inform, raise awareness and better integrate climate change consideration into Thurston Regional planning projects, programs, and process.  The focus will be on information useful to member jurisdictions in order to inform and support their climate change regulatory requirements.
