ExplanationOver 340 million tons of goods valued at $423 million were estimated to have been shipped from Washington State in 2016. In contrast, 371 million tons of goods valued at $439 million were estimated to have been shipped to Washington State.  The majority of these goods were shipped by truck.

By 2045, freight that originates in Washington is projected to increase to 537 million tons ($972 million) while freight destined for Washington is projected to increase to 575 million tons ($962 million).
