Thursday, June 7, 2018, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Thurston Regional Planning Council – Conference Room A
2424 Heritage Court SW
Olympia, WA 98501

2:00   Welcome & Introductions

2:10   Private Ambulance Signal Preemption Utilization

Private Ambulance companies are critical for patient transports, but they also provide essential redundant first responder Emergency Medical Services in Thurston County. Unlike the fire service agencies who can request a traffic signal preemption to safely maneuver through an intersection, the private ambulance providers must proceed without the protection afforded by a controlled signalized intersection.

The TAC members, Thurston County Medic One, fire chiefs, and private EMS stakeholders will discuss issues surrounding the activation of Opticom service for private ambulance companies, and discuss system needs and next steps toward implementation.
