Homelessness by Race/Ethnicity

Data Tables

Explanation

The 2019 Point-in-Time Count identified 995 Thurston County residents experiencing homelessness. Of those who reported their race or ethnicity, persons of color — those identifying as Hispanic, Latino, or a race other than white — were disproportionately represented. American Indian and Alaska Natives, Black/African-Americans, or Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders were more than twice as likely to be homeless compared to the overall Thurston County population.
