Explanation

According to the 2020-2024 American Community Survey, 5,637 Thurston County households do not have access to a vehicle, which is 4.7% of households. 

Vehicle ownership trends have changed dramatically over the past half-century. In the 1960s, only a third of households had more than one vehicle. Today, the percentage is closer to two-thirds.
